Baku 2012: Guides to be trained for Eurovision tourists

Yesterday, the Azerbaijan Ministry of Culture reported that the country will train around 150 guides especially for tourists arriving into the country for Eurovision 2012 in May.

The ministry says that only certified and professional guides will be trained for the rush in visitors, as an estimated 30-40,000 guests arrive in Baku for Eurovsion.

The ministry reports to the Azerbaijan Business Center; “If 30-40.000 guests arrive for Eurovision as expected 100-150 guides will be at their service. Excursions will be organized forĀ groups of tourists to Gobustan, Gala as well as historical monument Ateshgah (Fire worshippers temple) and other places of interest prior to and after the contest”
