Belarus: Indie pop duo NAVI wins national final

Indie pop group NAVI will represent Belarus at the Eurovision Song Contest in their neighbouring country Ukraine. This Friday the duo was victorious at the national final in Belarus, where 13 acts took part.

Napoli and Nuteki even took part for the third time this year, the winning act NAVI did it on their second attempt. You can read back our liveblog here. In the end, the duo NAVI was declared the winner after a combined result of jury and televote.

NAVI consists of Artem Lukyanenko and Ksenia Zhuk. They took part in the Belarusian selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 with “Heta ziamla” (This Land). This time they won with their new song “Historyja majho žyccia” (Story of My Life).


Last year in Stockholm, Ivan did not reach the final for Belarus. His song “Help you fly” finished in 12th place in the second semi final. Despite the much discussed act with wolves, Belarus only gathered 84 points.
