According to various sources, Boyband ‘Blue’ are to make their comeback to music by representing the UK at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest.
Consisting of four singers: Simon Webbe, Lee Ryan, Duncan James and Antony Costa. The band has sold around 9 million records sold world-wide. The group originally formed in 2001 before splitting in 2005.
The BBC have now confirmed the news that Blue will represent the United Kingdom at Eurovision 2011 with the song “I Can“. It was also announced that camera’s will follow the group as they tour Europe to promote the entry and prepare for the live show in May. The documentary is scheduled to be shown in April on BBC One.
In a press release published by the BBC member of the band, Lee says “We’re excited to be performing again in the UK and Europe and hope that the fans who supported us before will embrace our new songs”
Blue’s participation in the contest marks their 10 year anniversary together.
