Bulgaria will compete in next year’s Eurovision Song Contest, broadcaster BNT has today said, according to novinar.net and esctoday.com. The country had been thought to be withdrawing after disappointing results, culminating in national star Miro failing to qualify to the Oslo semifinal.
BNT also denied reports that they didn’t apply on time, instead revealing that they confirmed their participation on the 26th of November. Details about the national final will be revealed at a later date.
Bulgaria, along with all the other countries that applied before this week’s deadline, can withdraw p until the 20th December without facing an EBU fine. They join Georgia and Italy in confirming their participation in the last two days.
