Bookmakers: “Ten clear qualifiers in first semi final of Eurovision 2018”

Bookmakers Eurovision

Now that we have the running order for the first semi final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2018, the bookmakers have made up their mind.

Based on the current odds, they have ten clear favourites to qualify from the first show on Tuesday the 8th of May.

The bookies* say that Israel, Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Belgium, Bulgaria, Armenia, Cyprus, Austria and Azerbaijan will make the cut. There is already a gap in the odds between Azerbaijan and Lithuania, which would narrowly miss out on a spot in the final, the bookies predict. When compared to the odds for the second semi final, the bookmakers have already quite made up their mind.

Odds may change during the rehearsal weeks

Of course this is a first indicator of how well the songs from each nation will perform in Lisbon. Sometimes the bookmakers make a mistake, like with Finland last year, but usually they are pretty close to call the actual result. However, this goes for the odds in the final week, when we have seen and heard all performances in the rehearsals.

ESCDaily will also be at the scene, covering all the news and rehearsals for you. We will keep out an eye at these odds as well, to provide you with the best preview of the biggest music competition in the world. For now, you can watch the recap again and let us know if you have the same ten qualifiers at this point:
