The city of Rotterdam has received the confirmation of the decision by the EBU. They expect that Rotterdam will be the host city in 2021. The new dates for the contest have not been chosen yet.

Here is an official statement by the EBU:

Eurovision 2020 will be postponed to 2021

The EBU states that the health of artists, crew and fans are of the uttermost importance. The organisation is talking with all participating broadcaster and the city counsil of Rotterdam about moving the contest to 2021.

“This is the only sensible decision,” says councilor Saïd Kasmi on behalf of the city of Rotterdam. “A lot of events have been cancelled, and it is logical that the Eurovision Song Contest also needs to take a step down.” Towards regional broadcaster Rijnmond he states that he expects that the contest will take place in Rotterdam as planned, in the year 2021.
