This Sunday evening, Bulgaria finally revealed their Eurovision act for the upcoming contest in Lisbon. It is Equinox with the song ‘Bones’.
Bulgaria hopes that this song will do just as good as Kristian Kostov did last year, coming second in Kiev. Or, perhaps, do even better and win it all in Lisbon!
‘Bones’ is written and composed by Borislav Milanov, Trey Campbell, Joacim Persson and Dag Lundberg. The group Equinox consists of Zhana Bergendorff, Georgi Simeonov, Johnny Manuel, Trey Campbell and Vlado Mihailov. Bulgaria takes part in the first half of the first semi final on Tuesday the 8th of May 2018.
Bulgaria at the Eurovision Song Contest
Bulgaria has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 11 times since making its debut at the 2005 contest in Kiev. They failed to qualify for the final in eight out of eleven appearances at the contest. However, on each of the three occasions they have reached the final they have finished in the top five: placing fifth with Elitsa & Stoyan in 2007, fourth with Poli Genova in 2016 and second with Kristian Kostov in 2017.
