Broadcaster SBS in Australia has revealed their plans for the new tv-season coming in 2015. There is a special place once again for the Eurovision Song Contest. And SBS is even hinting the possibility they will actually “join the contest” again.

Australian broadcaster SBS has not made any specific plans regarding the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 yet. Last year in Copenhagen, the country made a non-official debut when Jessica Mauboy got to perform in the interval act of the second semifinal.
The 2014 Eurovision Song Contest has been the most successful one to date for Australian broadcaster SBS. The contest, which is shown on consecutive nights over the final weekend, achieved a total audience over the entire weekend of 2.7 million.
Australia made its unofficial Eurovision debut this year with Jessica Mauboy as the interval act in the second semifinal. ESC Daily spoke with ‘delegation leader’ Paul Clarke from broadcaster SBS about the chances for the country to ever participate officially.
