The sixth episode of our aftermath series about the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 we have a sad story to tell. It is about FYR Macedonia, that failed to qualify for the final again, for the sixth time in a row.
FYR Macedonia’s entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 has been revealed. Eye Cue will represent her country with the song “Lost And Found”.
The duo Eye Cue will sing for FYR Macedonia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 in Lisbon. Their song ‘Lost and Found’ will premiere later this Eurovision season.
The Eurovision Song Contest 2018 will have 43 countries participating after all. The EBU has confirmed that FYR Macedonia has been added to the participation list, now that their debts to the broadcasting organisation have been paid.
The European Broadcasting Union has imposed sanctions on Macedonia Radio Television. These sanctions cast doubt on the country’s ability to participate in Lisbon next year.
MRT, the national broadcaster of FYR Macedonia, has confirmed in their proposed schedule for 2018 their intention to participate in the Eurovision Song Contest 2018.
