Tayanna has qualified for the national final of Vidbir in Ukraine. The runner-up of the final in Ukraine of 2017 was one of the three qualifiers of the second semi final with her song ‘Lelya’.

Vidbir 2018 has started and Pur:Pur, finalist in 2016, has already been eliminated. Laud, The Erised and Vilna have reached the final of the preselection in Ukraine for the Eurovision Song Contest 2018.

Ukraine will once again use the format with the shows called Vidbir to pick their act for the Eurovision Song Contest. Broadcaster UA:PBC announced this on Twitter.
Ruslana is the interval act of the second semi final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 on the 11th May. The winner of 2004 has just announced this on her Facebook page. She will release her new single during the show.

It has been a long time since the host nation won the Eurovision Song Contest for a back-to-back victory. And despite being enthusiastic about the song ‘Time’ for Ukraine, our Ukraine-expert Sadie Trent does not think a victory will happen in 2017.
O.Torvald will represent the home nation this year with their song Time. After 3 semi finals the winner was decided in the grand finale tonight (Saturday 25th February), by televotes and a jury.
