On Tuesday, Australia qualified for the Grand Final of the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest. Tonight, it is possible that one more act from Down Under reaches the final. Anja Nissen takes part on behalf of Denmark.
Anja Nissen and Isaiah Firebrace have finally met each other at the Eurovision Song Contest in Kiev. The two Australian artists spoke to the press at a meet & greet organized by Danish broadcaster DR.
ESCDaily were present at the opening ceremony for Eurovision 2017 in which forty-two delegations walked over a mile of red carpet for the accredited fans and press.
Anja Nissen has showed her gratitude to her Australian fans. The winner of The Voice of Australia tells ESC Daily that she thinks it is “great that Australia embraces my decision to represent Denmark.”
Anja Nissen sent her much discussed dress back to Denmark to be altered. She will have it back on Thursday, well in time for the next rehearsal of her Danish song ‘Where I Am’ at the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 in Kiev.
Anja Nissen has had a chaotic first day at the press center. Her outfit during the first rehearsal was a big point of discussion. “It’s a shame people did not speak more about her outstanding vocals,” says our editor Brandon McCann.
