France kicks off “Destination Eurovision” tonight at 20:55 CET. Nine acts, including the Australian singer-songwriter Malo’, will try to reach the Grand Final (taking place February 27th). However, there are only four tickets available.

From over 1500 applications, French broadcaster France 2 has selected 18 songs that will be performed in two semi finals in 2018. Out of these acts, France will select the representing 2018-act.
The French newspaper Ouest-France reports that France will broadcast three tv-shows in January, in which the nation will pick their artist for the Eurovision Song Contest 2018. After the choiche has been made, a song will be composed for this artist to perform in Lisbon.
French broadcaster France 2 has released the first information for their plans for the Eurovision Song Contest 2018. France will return to a national final format.
Lucie Jones admits that she felt a bit stressed during her first rehearsal at the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest in Kiev. “I was still getting used to the stage, the camera’s. Trying to get it all right. Today I was able to relax more.”
After a couple of years with not much luck at the contest, Amir gave France a comeback with a top-10 result in Stockholm. His successor Alma is very thankful for him: “It changed everything, Amir did a great job.”
The final of the 62nd edition of the Eurovision Song Contest in Kiev will be broadcast in cinemas across France for the first time. The broadcast will happen on the 13th of May at CGR Cinemas locations in 41 cities across the country.
