A record amount of 43 countries would have taken part in Eurovision 2016, but Romania was disqualified from the contest. Broadcaster TVR has some high debts with the EBU, and they were therefore excluded at the last minute. Their financial problems are not unique.

Serhat will sing the song ‘I didn’t know‘ for San Marino at the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 in Stockholm. The Turkish singer has presented his song to fans and media during a press conference in Paris.
It will not be long until we have heard all the songs for the Eurovision Song Contest 2016. Today, both the broadcaster from Serbia and from San Marino have announced that they will present their songs on the 9th and 10th of March respectively.
The delegation of San Marino has lashed out to the European Broadcasting Union in a public press release, stating the recently released new rules for the Eurovision Song Contest discriminate the small states in the contest.
SMRTV have released the full multi-national team working with Serhat for his entry representing San Marino later this year in Stockholm. Serhat’s entry will be released officially in early March.
