The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and France Télévisions have announced which nineteen countries will participate at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Paris, France. Due to the corona pandemic and heavy restrictions in Australia, the country is absent from the contest.
The EBU wants young artists to evolve from Junior Eurovision to the adult Eurovision Song Contest. This year, Destiny from Malta and Stefania from Greece are living that dream. “We have learned a lot from Junior Eurovision.”

France has won the 2020 edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. The winning song was performed by Valentina and is called J’imagine.
This Sunday the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2020 takes place in Poland. A unique edition, as there will not be a show where all the artists share the same stage, but all kids will perform in a studio.
The running order for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2020 has been announced, after the official opening ceremony on Monday. Debuting country Germany will open the show, and France will close as twelth and final country on Saturday.

For the first time since their debut back in 2015, Australia will not participate in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Broadcaster SBS have announced that due to the current COVID-19 travel restrictions, Australia will not be able to join.
During Eurovision: Europe Shine A Light it has been announced that the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2020 will take place on the 29th of November. It will be held in capital Warsaw.
