It was to be for Friðrik Ómar in Songvakeppnin tonight. His song Hvað ef ég get ekki elskað? proved enough to see him through to the Songvakeppnin Grand final a week today. Also through to the final is Tara Hobee with her song Betri án þín.
Jurijus has won the second semi final of Eurovizijos Atranka 2019 in Lithuania with the song ‘Run with the lions’. Monika Marija, who already qualified for the final with her song ‘Light On’ last week, also advanced with her second song ‘Criminal’.
Joci Pápai (ESC2017) has won the second semi final of A Dal. In the strongest of the two semi finals, Joci Pápai beat metal band Fatal Error, who qualified through televoting. Oláh Gergö was eliminated.
Polish broadcaster TVP has selected the group Tulia for the Eurovision Song Contest 2019. Tulia consist of four singers Patrycja Nowicka, Dominika Siepka, Joanna Sinkiewicz and Tulia Biczak.
Katerine Duska will represent Greece at the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv. Broadcaster ERT confirmed her participation, but is yet to announce with which song she takes part.
Kobi Marimi has won the 2019 edition of The Next Star 2019. He will be representing the home nation Israel in Tel Aviv when they host Eurovision in May.

The line-up for the final Selectia Nationala in Romania has been determined. The second semi final gave us the last six qualifiers: Olivier Kaye, Aldo Blaga, Letitia Moiescu & Sensibil Balkan, Laura Bretan, Ester Peony and Linda Teodosiu.
Hera Björk is through to the final of Söngvakeppnin. The Icelandic diva, who reached the Eurovision final for Iceland in 2010, won the first semi final with her song “Eitt andartak”.
