Austria released Cesár’s song ‘Nobody But You’

The Austrian song for Lisbon, ‘Nobody but you’, has premiered on the national radio this Friday morning. You can check out the song by Cesár Sampson here!

Earlier it had already been announced that Cesár Sampson will represent Austria in the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest. As in 2017, broadcaster ORF opted for an internal selection.

Cesár has already enjoyed Eurovision success. In 2016 and 2017, he was part of the Bulgarian team, finishing 4th with Poli Genova and 2nd with Kristian Kostov’s “Beautiful Mess”.

Austrian delegation: This is the complete package

Expectations in Austria are high, among the delegation. ORF’s Television Director Kathrin Zechner said: “Cesár is rhythm, he is a child of humanity, he is a voice! Cesár lives and breathes music and is an empathic artist! He understands how to use his voice, as a singer and as a human being. (…) This means he has all the necessary tools to possibly become a standout in this competition. He is the complete package.”

Nathan Trent represented Austria in the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest and reached the Grand Final with his song Running On Air. Austria’s best result in recent years was of course the winning entry ‘Rise like a Phoenix‘ in 2014.
