According to the most recent update of the big bookmakers, Cyprus will win the Eurovision Song Contest and claim the title for the first time in history. Eleni Foureira and her song ‘Fuego’ have surpassed Israel’s song ‘Toy’ by Netta Barzilai, who was in the lead throughout the entire Eurovision season.
Now that we have the runner order for the grand final and saw the full show for the first time this afternoon, bookies have even more trust in Eleni. Next to Cyprus and Israel, we see Ireland, France and Germany in their top-5.
Around this time last year, Italy also lost their big leap and Portugal and Bulgaria started to present themselves as potential Eurovision winners. And as we all know, Salvador Sobral actually took the title, instead of long-time favourite Francesco Gabbani from Italy.
