The Australian song for the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 will be revealed on Friday the 11th of March. Dami Im is saying she “showcase it to the world and represent Australia to the best of my ability.”
Dami Im was confirmed earlier today by Australian broadcaster SBS as the second representative at the contest, making the Korean-Australian winner of The X-Factor 2013 the successor of Guy Sebastian.
Dami states in her first interview with SBS on her participation: “I am so thrilled and honoured to be representing Australia at Eurovision this year in Stockholm. I am really excited to be following in the footsteps of Guy Sebastian and Jessica Mauboy who have both graced the Eurovision stage before me.”
She is keeping her lips sealed on the songtitle and genre of her Eurovision song, but Dami Im is hoping we all will love her song: “I truly believe that the Australian public and Eurovision fans around the world are going to love the song I will be performing in Sweden. I cannot wait to showcase it to the world and represent Australia to the best of my ability!”
