The song ‘Never Alone’ by Voice of Australia winner Anja Nissen will be competing in the Danish national final as planned. DR had to consult the EBU, after reports arose that co-author Emmelie de Forest already played this song during a live concert in 2014.
Because the winner of the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest never recorded the song or released it as a single herself, it is allowed to take part under the rules of the contest and thus able to compete in the Danish national final.
