Danish broadcaster DR has revealed its plans for selecting their 2012 Eurovision Song Contest entry, expanding on last week’s news that the national final will move back to Aalborg.
The 2012 Dansk Melodi Grand Prix will takes place on Saturday 21st January with ten songs taking part. Roughly six of those will be chosen from entries sent in to the broadcaster, whilst the remaining four will come from specially invited acts by DR. Entries can be submitted from now up to the 26th September, and a copy of the rules can be found here.
Tickets, which will be sold via billetnet.dk, could be avaliable as early as the end of September. With two top 5 finishes in as many years since 2010, the Danes will be looking to start early to keep up that record in Baku.
