Singer-songwriter Duncan Laurence will perform on behalf of The Netherlands at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in Tel Aviv. The Dutch song title for the schooled rock singer has not yet been made public.
All details surrounding the Dutch entry in 2019 will be revealed during a press conference on the 7th of March. According to the selection committee, Duncan’s song blew them away with his song. “It is so powerful that we unanimouslydecided he must go to Eurovision.”
In recent years, The Netherlands was represented by A-artists. Duncan Laurence breaks that tradition, since he is a rather unknown upcoming 24-year old singer. “But that is also something good,” he states. “My participation shows that anyone can get the chance to show themselves on such a big stage. I am very proud to represent The Netherlands and I will give it my all.”
