ERR, the Estonian broadcaster, has announced their upcoming plans for Eesti Laul 2012 where the next Estonian entry for Eurovision will be selected.
The submission period to enter Eesti Laul 2012 will remain open until 15:00 December 12th, 2012 and is open for Estonian citizens or residents only. An ERR appointed jury will choose 20 lucky songs to become next years semifinalists which will go on to compete in two separate shows on the 18th and 25th of February.
After the two semifinals, ERR will broadcast the Eesti Laul final and therefore select their 2012 Eurovision entry on March 3rd.
The final will be held March 3rd at the Nokia Concert Hall in Tallinn, Estonia where the winner will receive 2000 euros from the Estonian Authors’ Society plus go on to represent Estonia in the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest to be held next May in Baku.
