
The Belgian song for the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 has been released. You can check out ‘Wake Up’ by Eliot Vassamillet below.
Broadcaster RTBF will hold a press conference later this Thursday in Brussels, but the video of the song hasalready officially been presented.
The song was played on the Belgian radio station MNM for the first time on the ‘De Grote Peter Van De Veire Ochtendshow‘. Peter is the Belgian commentator of the Eurovision Song Contest for the last couple of years. Listen to the song on Spotify here.
Who is Eliot Vassamillet?
“Wake Up” was written by Pierre Dumoulin, who also wrote “City Lights” for Blanche. Eliot was internally selected by RTBF to represent Belgium in Tel Aviv.
Vassamillet took part in The Voice of Belgique (Wallonia) in 2018. He only made it to the first round of the liveshows but still got selected for the big Eurovision stage.
