ESC Daily ready for new season

It’s September, and time for the new Eurovision-season. Our team here at ESC Daily is ready to bring you all the news from all participating countries, reliable and fast, and follow every national final or preselection for you. It will all come together in May 2015, when our team will be in Vienna, bringing you all the news as it breaks during ESC 2015.

Some countries have already confirmed that participation officially through a press release or statement on their website. Others have told local media that they will be there in Vienna next year. So far, 26 countries have already given an indication that they will join the party in 2015, with 16 official applications.

Recently it was officially announced by ORF that Vienna will host the Eurovision Song Contest 2015. The arena was also revealed on that day to be the Wiener Stadthalle – general capacity 16,000. It looks to be located not too far out of the city center. You can read about the venue for next year here.

Some countries, like Georgia, Malta and FYR Macedonia, appear to start their selections within the last months of this year. We will check out their internal selections or national finals and provide you with live blogs or news articles as soon as possible.
