“Eurovision 2022 is the most uncertain contest in many years”

“Eurovision 2022 is the most uncertain contest in many years”. This says Szymon Stellmaszyk in the ESCDaily Show. Stellmaszyk, a Eurovision expert for almost 20 years, thinks that many different factors are unique this year, including the technical problems and the war in Ukraine.

“Albania was an obvious example of someone unhappy with her rehearsal. Cornelia Jakobs from Sweden was another one. These things tell us that many things can still happen in the second week. It is so difficult to predict this year’s Eurovision Song Contest.”

In the show, Steef van Gorkum also interviews Eurovision betting expert Panos Zanettos. Together they look forward to the first semi final, and the jury show on Monday night. “Switzerland will need the jury vote to qualify. So does Iceland. On the other hand, Albania and Latvia might get hurt by the jury. It’s an interesting semi to see which borderliners get through.”
