The Eurovision Grand Final 2021 is the toughest one to predict since 2014. Thus says ESCDaily’s chief editor Steef van Gorkum in the Eurovision podcast Daily Coffee. “There are 4 or 5 entries good enough to win this year.”

Erik Bolks has made his mind up. “France will be a runaway winner. I actually believe they will win both the televote and the jury vote.” Van Gorkum reacts: “That is indeed one possible scenario in the back of my mind. However, I will probably end up going for Malta or Italy and put France outside the top 3. I think it’s just not the kind of entry that will finish second.”

In the end, it will all depend on what Europe will go for after a pandemic year. In the podcast, Bolks and Van Gorkum also discuss the jury rehearsal from last night together with presenter Dennis van Eersel.
