Five solo-artists in national final in Montenegro

RTCG, the national broadcaster from Montenegro, has announced five candidates and their songs for the national final of Montevizija on the 17th of February. All five of them are solo artists.

There are four female singers and also one male artist in the final. The winner will represent Montenegro at the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 in Lisbon. The decision which of the five acts will go to Portugal will then be made on a 100% televoting basis. However, a jury picked these five songs out of 31 submitted entries:

Lorena Janković – Dušu Mi Daj
Nina Petković – Dišem
Katarina Bogićević – Neželjena
Ivana Popović Martinović – Poljupci
Vanja Radovanović – Inje

First national final in Montenegro in 10 years

The rules of Montevizija stated that artists and composers from all over the world would be able to submit their entries. However, the entry would have to be sung in Montenegrin. Artists could submit up to two entries each. This will now be the first time in 10 years that Montenegro will use a national final to choose their participant for Eurovision.

  1. 100% televote. One man in a field of five, so all others a female. He has to be really bad not to win the televote then. Does not seem right. I hope a girl wins to proove my theory wrong for this time.
