Amandine Bourgeois will represent France at this year’s competition in Malmö with the song L’Enfer Et Moi (Hell and Me).  French broadcaster France Télévisions officially confirmed this news on Tuesday evening, after premature press releases. The song was written by Boris Bergman and David Salkin.

The selection took place in two stages. From a blind audition five songs advanced, and from those five, the winner was chosen. A total of 18 songs were presented to an expert committee, and Amandine’s song won the majority vote.

In 2008, the soulful pop-rock singer won Nouvelle Star, the French edition of the ‘pop idol’ competition. She has since recorded two albums; her newest was released in 2012.
