Georgia: National final on January the 14th

National broadcaster GPB has scheduled a national final on January the 14th, in order to select the song for Georgia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2015. With that decision, Georgia says goodbye to a internal selection method they have used the last couple of years.

GPB has called artists to apply for their national selection through Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. The songs can be submitted until the 20th of December. In the national final in January, both televoters and a international jury will decide who will represent Georgia in Vienna.

Georgia finished in ninth place in 2010 and 2011, their best results to date. In 2012 and 2014 the country however even failed to reach the final, with The Shin & Mariko even ending in last place in their semifinal in Copenhagen.
