The German act for the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 has been officially revealed. It’s Ben Dolic with the song ‘Violent Thing’.

ARD lifted the embargo on the singer and song, since the broadcast of Unser Lied für Rotterdam was taped this Thursday afternoon. The German act and song can be seen for the first time on ONE from 21:30 CET. The first performance will be broadcast as part of the 45 minute show.

The song is already available to listen to on Spotify and the official video clip is on YouTube:

2020 marks the first time since 2009 that the German broadcaster has opted to internally select both their singer and song for the Eurovision Song Contest. It’s also the first time since then that the German public does not have a say in their selection process.
