Greece: Helena Paparizou rejected Melodifestivalen 2012 offer

Winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 2005, Helena Paparizou, was the guest of today’s broadcast of Cosmo Radio 95,1 FM Thessaloniki, where she revealed she rejected an offer to participate at this year’s Melodifestivalen.

Helena confessed that late last year she received an offer from the Swedish National Broadcaster; SVT, to take part in the upcoming Melodifestivalen competition, which also selects the Swedish entry to the Eurovision Song Contest. Helena stated;

It wasn’t the right timing but never say never!

 
 
 
 
The Greek-Swedish artist has also revealed that this summer she will be touring around Greece performing a planned 10 shows. So far there are no actual plans for a new album release. Last but not least so far she has accepted many proposals from Sweden for her upcoming music releases.

Besides representing Greece in 2001 as apart of third placed duo Antique, Paparizou won the Eurovision 2005 with the song My Number One  and recently she released a brand new single entitled Mr. Perfect;
