Finland chooses “Monsters” for Saara Aalto

Saara Aalto already performed her three songs in the final of UMK: ‘Domino’, ‘Queens’ and ‘Monsters’. “Monsters” won both the international jury vote and the televote, and will be the song for Finland in Lisbon.

Estonia sends opera song to Lisbon

After two semi finals, the grand final of Eesti Laul 2018 takes place tonight. After a very diverse show including Stig Rästa (Eurovision 2015) among the participants, Elina Nechayeva’s opera song took victory.

Lithuania completes its final field

We’re getting close to the end in Lithuania, with the second and last semi final. Three acts joined the final of Eurovizijos next Sunday, the 11th of March. ESCDaily’s favorite Ieva Zasimauskaite also qualified.

Sweden: Margaret takes her second chance

It’s the repechage round in Sweden, Andra Chansen. Four more acts get the chance to take part in the final in Stockholm next week, after all. Among them is Polish superstar Margaret, who tries to represent Sweden in Eurovision 2018 with the song “In my Cabana”. She did not qualify from semi 2, but she took her second chance tonight.

Iceland makes a surprising choice

After two semi finals, six acts took the stage again in Iceland, to find their act for Eurovision 2018. Aron Hannes was the biggest name in the final of Songvakeppnin, but he was eliminated before the super final.

San Marino represented by Maltese duo

For the first time in history, San Marino had a national final. After a big online round and two shows, the grand final took place in Slovakia. Maltese Jessica & Jennifer won the show with the song “Who we are”.

Polish televoters overrule jury

There are ten acts in Krajowe Eliminacje 2018, that will battle for one ticket on behalf of Poland to Lisbon. The winning song is called “Light me up”.
