Iceland: 150 entries for Söngvakeppni Sjónvarpsins 2012

[cft format=0]

The call for submitting entries has now ended in Iceland and the Icelandic national broadcaster RÚV has received 150 entries.

This is similar to the amount received for last years Söngvakeppni Sjónvarpsins contest. Now a committee will listen to the songs and choose songs that will take part in Söngvakeppni Sjónvarpsins 2012. RÚV hasn´t given any information about how many songs will be in the competition 2012 but they will decide within the next 2-3 weeks.

Söngvakeppni Sjónvarpsins 2012 will be different than the 2011 edition. There will be no semifinals in 2012, but only one final night. RÚV will now determine how the competition will be in February and Ragnhildur Steinunn Jónsdóttir will be the host of the show.

Sjonni´s Friends represented Iceland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 with the song “Coming Home”.
