Iceland: Preparations for Söngvakeppni Sjónvarpsins final underway

[cft format=0]

The final of Söngvakeppni Sjónvarpsins in Iceland has never been as big as it has been this year. The tickets for the final were sold out in just five minutes and RÚV so far are preparing a fantastic night. This is the first time that such a big hall is being used for the competition, which is the main hall Eldborg in Harpa.

The stage in the main hall Eldborg in Harpa will be bigger than usual and there are over 200 hundred people that will be working for RÚV on Saturday to make a fantastic show for all of the viewers. A total of 14 cameras will be used in the hall and there are 7 songs that will be performed in the final. Hera Björk and Páll Óskar will perform and rumours suggest there will be two different voting periods on the night. Therefore, which may mean there will be a ‘superfinal’ for the top two, or maybe even three songs.
