Söngvakeppnin 2018 has been won by Ari Ólafsson and the song ‘Our choice’. It is the Icelandic entry at Eurovision 2018.
Six artists have competed tonight for representing Iceland in Lisbon, however, only Dagur Sigurðarson and Ari Ólafsson made it to the Superfinal. After having performed their entries once again eventually Ari Ólafsson won it tonight with his ballad “Our Choice” although Dagur was leading in the first round.
Ari demonstrated the capacity of his vocals yet when he participated in the Voice of Iceland. Ari’s uncle is Paul Oscar who represented Iceland in the 1997 Eurovision Song Contest. So he knows where to turn to for some tips and advice for Lisbon!

Iceland had some Eurovision stars during the interval acts performing their Eurovision entries – Emmelie De Forest who represented Denmark and won in 2013 and Robin Bengtsson who represented Sweden last year in Kiev.
