Irish national broadcaster RTÉ has officially announced the finalists, entries and the mentors that will compete at this year’s Eurosong. The contest this year consists a total of five performers, Andrew Mann, Donna McCaul, Jedward, Maria McCool & Celtic Whisper and Una Gibney with David Shannon.
The five finalists in the running to represent Ireland in the upcoming contest will have their entries broadcast on RTÉ Radio 1’s Mooney show today at 15:00 local time. The five artists will perform their entries on 24 February during ‘The Late Show’ in the RTÉ One.

- Donna McCaul – Mercy (mentored by Bill Hughes)
- Jedward – Waterline (mentored by Linda Martin)
- Maria McCool & Celtic Whisper – Mistaken (mentored by Edele Lynch)
- Una Gibney and David Shannon – Language of Love (mentored by Julian Benson)
The winner of “Eurosong” this year, will have the honour to represent Ireland in Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku, Azerbaijan on 22 May, in the second half of the first semi-final.
