It’s been little under a week since the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest came to a close and Azerbaijan were crowned winners of the contest. One of the countries highly tipped to win the contest we’re Ireland who sent twins Jedward to Eurovision with their entry Lipstick and resulted in Ireland finishing 8th place, their best position in 11 years. Within a day, the track quickly became popular with Europe and topped the charts in Germany, Austria, Sweden and back home in Ireland.
When the boys touched down in Dublin on Sunday their manager Louis Walsh told Irish newspaper The Independent “”Ireland could definitely win Eurovision again and we might do it next year with Jedward. I think after what happened this year, Jedward would do incredibly well in Eurovision 2012. Jedward said they could have unfinished business with the Eurovision.”
Meanwhile in the UK it is reported that BBC bosses are said to be in talks with the twins to launch their own TV show after being very impressed with the reaction that they received in Europe.
