Yesterday several reports surfaced in the Armenian media that Eva Rivas will be joined on stage by legendary Armenian musician Jivan Gasparian.
Today we can confirm that Gasparian, the most famous Armenian duduk player, will be joining the Eurovision stage playing the duduk as a part of Eva’s performance. Eva Rivas admitted just this during her press conference when she said that Gasparian would join her on stage on May 25th.
Gasparian has gained worldwide status when he contributed to Hollywood movies including Gladiator and Seige. His achievements include a Grammy award nomination. He has collaborated with many artists including Hossein Alizadeh, Sting, Erkan Ogur, Michael Brook, Peter Gabriel, Brian May, Lionel Richie, Derek Sherinian, Ludovico Einaudi, Boris Grebenshchikov, Hans Zimmer and Andreas Vollenweider.
