JOWST from Norway have explained in what way they have composed the bridge in their song ‘Grab the moment’ at their press meet and greet in Kiev. “It is samples, like when people make MIDI files on a piano,” they confirm to ESC Daily.
Team ESC Daily followed JOWST today, after you (our readers) requested us to do so on our daily poll on Facebook and Twitter. Keep voting on those polls, let us know which countries you are interested in!
There was some debate in the press center whether this should be allowed or not. JOWST is very clear about the bridge of the song. “You can trigger piano sounds that sound real. But you can do the same thing with vocals. It has been electronified that way, we use samples.”

Later this week we will interview someone from the EBU to find out what the difference is between pre-recorded vocals and these electonified vocals.
