Christer Björkman and Mads Grimstad will both vote as a part of the Expert Jury in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2017. A third Expert Jury member is yet to be announced. All members of the Expert Jury can vote as one additional ‘country’, giving 12, 10 and 8-1 points to their favorite participants.

Christer Björkman is the well-known man behind the successful Melodifestivalen preselection in Sweden. In his time as Head of Delegation, Sweden won the competition already twice with both Loreen (2012) and Mans Zelmerlöw (2015). Mads Grimstad is a manager at Universal Music record label. Together they will join the Expert Jury in Valletta; the third jury member is not yet publicly known.

Earlier this season it had already been made clear that the televote would disappear from JESC. Countries still have a 50-50 made up voting total, however the split is now not between a professional jury and televoting, but between the professional jury and a kids jury.

The JESC organisation also made it official that Poli Genova, last year’s popular host & Bulgaria’s representative at the adult Eurovision 2016 in Stockholm, will make a guest appearance during this year’s show. Poli will join Destiny Chekunyere, who won the 2015 Junior Eurovision Song Contest last year in Bulgaria.
