Junior Eurovision: Femke to represent The Netherlands!

The Dutch Junior Songfestival 2012 final took place this weekend, after two semi-finals and a wildcard spot, a total of 5 entries competed in order to represent this year’s host country the Netherlands.

The finalists were;

  1. Melle – Dromen
  2. Femke – Tik Tak Tik
  3. Alessandro – Una Chica Especial
  4. Sterre – I’m Singing
  5. Mainstreet – Stop the Time

The winner was 12 years old Femke with her song Tik Tak Tik. She was chosen by a mix of jury and public vote, with the jury being the Junior Songfestival 2011 finalists combined with a professional senior jury. The results were as It follows:

JURY VOTES:

  1. Melle – Dromen 17 points
  2. Femke – Tik Tak Tik 22 points
  3. Alessandro – Una Chica Especial 20 points
  4. Sterre – I’m Singing 19 points
  5. Mainstreet – Stop the Time 14 points

PUBLIC VOTES:

  1. Melle – Dromen 8 points
  2. Femke – Tik Tak Tik 9 points
  3. Alessandro – Una Chica Especial 10 points
  4. Sterre – I’m Singing 7 points
  5. Mainstreet – Stop the Time 12 points
TOTAL POINTS:
  1. Melle – Dromen 25 points
  2. Femke – Tik Tak Tik 31 points
  3. Alessandro – Una Chica Especial 30 points
  4. Sterre – I’m Singing 26 points
  5. Mainstreet – Stop the Time 26 points

Femke was born in Tuitjenhorn on May 11th, 2000, and she entered the competition to show the people that she loves singing and to hear opinions about her voice from a professional jury. She likes singing, dancing, skating, drawing, swimming and making jokes with her sister. She attends dance lessons on weekends and her favourite singers are Rachel & Lisa and Amy & Shelley. Her biggest fans are her friends and family, and she spends all day singing, sometimes, her parents think it’s crazy!
