Junior Eurovision: Italy and FYR Macedonia reveal their songs

Two more countries have revealed their entries for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Italy internally chose 13 year old Fiamma Boccia with the song “Cara Mamma (Dear Mom)”, while FYR Macedonia has landed on a song for Martija Stanojkovic: “Love will lead our way”.

Stanojkovic (12) was earlier internally selected as the Macedonian singer, but without a song. She has started singing since she was 5 and at the age of 7 had already recorded her first song “Pejacka Ke Stanam” meaning “Will be a singer”. Her Junior Eurovision song is a mid-tempo pop song with summer influences in the chorus.

Italy had not yet revealed anything about their Junior Eurovision entry thus far. Today, however, the full entry was released, in the form of a piano ballad that reminds the listener of the song that brought Slovenia to a 3rd place in last year’s contest in Sofia. “Cara Mamma” will leans heavily on vocals. Singer Fiamma Boccia has been playing the piano since she was four and started singing at the same age. She also enjoys dancing and acting.

Italy won the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in its first participation in 2014, and stayed in the competition ever since. Listen to the Italian entry for this year below:
