Junior Eurovision: Lerica to represent Moldova

[cft format=0]

Moldova will be reperesented at Junior Eurovision this year by young singer Lerica.

This year, Moldovan broadcaster TRM has decided not to air a televised national final, but instead has chosen their entrant and her song internally. Yesterday the broadcaster invited a number of singers to perform in front of a jury of singers and composers, (including ESC 2008 representative Geta Burlacu) whom decided who would represent the country at Junior Eurovision.

Lerica is part of the CIS inicitive “Respublika KIDS”, which was created by Russian producer Evgeny Orlov (behind the Russian group “Smash!!”) in 2008. Members of the group also include Victoria Petryk, whom placed second at Junior Eurovision 2008. Lerica has also taken part in the kids version of popular “New Wave” contest in 2009 in Moscow, and performed as a guest in the 2011 edition of the show in Crimea, Ukraine alongside singer Vera Brezhneva.

More information will be avaliable soon about Lerica, and her song for Junior Eurovision (which will contain some extracts on English) – at TRM’s website here.
