Radio Television of Serbia (RTS) has selected 12-year-old Dunja Jeličić to represent their country in Malta for the 2016 Junior Eurovison. Dunja will perform her song “U La La La” on the 20th November.
The composer of the song is Vladimir Graić and lyrics are written by Leontina Vukomanović and Dunja herself.
RTS confessed that they were looking for a young singer with excellent dancing and communicating skills who would feel very comfortable on Junior Eurovision stage. As a result of some searches, RTS working with Children’s Belgrade Cultural Center (CBCC) finally could make a decision choosing Dunja for the annual contest.
The decision was particularly made by Ivana Peters, Ivana Tabori Obradović, Tatjana Perović Vladušić and Vladimir Graić. The later, being Dunja’s song composer, previously composed a range of Eurovision and Junior Eurovisino songs, among them is Serbia’s winning song “Molitva” from Eurovision 2007.
Dunja Jeličić is well known due to her participation in a talent show called Pinkove Zvezde. Young Dunja also gave the Serbian points at the 2015 Junior Eurovision.
