Latvia: Voting period through Spotify now opened

The access issues of the voting website during JESC2017 were caused by a security system. Spokespersons of EBU have confirmed this to ESCDaily in response to our editorial from earlier this week.

The 2018 Melodifestivalen will see a changed voting system in which the audience has more influence. Thus reports Aftonbladet today. Last year, the winner of the App Vote, Nano, lost the Grand Final to the winner of the Jury Vote, Robin Bengtsson.

The online voting process for JESC2017 is underway. EBU says it’s confident in a valid result in which every person votes twice maximum. However, several journalists, including the ESCDaily investigative team, have found relatively easy ways to cast multiple votes from the same device.
