The Irish song for the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 is available. Lesley Roy let her song ‘Map’ premiere this Friday. The track will be performed in the first half of the first semi final on May 18th.

Last year, RTÉ also selected Lesley Roy to represent Ireland in the 2020 contest, with the song ‘Story of My Life’. Earlier in this season, Lesley Roy was selected to represent Ireland again at the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 internally by the broadcaster RTÉ. Today she revealed the song she will perform: ‘Maps’.

“It was a real shame we didn’t get to showcase Story of My Life on the Eurovision stage,” says Roy when she looks back and talks about her new song ‘Maps’. “Had the show not been canceled this new song would never have emerged. I’ve been working on new material 24/7 and this song was clearly the strongest out of all of the demos. I believe that it is even bigger than Story of My Life, and will reach an even wider audience.”
