
Singer Blas Cantó has released his song ‘Universo’, the Spanish entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2020. Since Spain is one of the Big-5 nations, he will perform his song in the final on the 16th of May in Rotterdam.

Blas Cantó has a history at Junior Eurovision
In 2004 Blas Cantó took part in the preselection of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. He finished in fourth place, behind María Isabel, who eventually went on to win the whole contest. In 2011 he was a member of the group Auryn, which took part at the Spanish national final, but he did not make it to Düsseldorf.
In recent years, Spain used the popular preselection show Operación Triunfo as their selection method. But after two disappointing result, Spain has now decided to go back to an internal choice.
