Liza Vassilieva is the fifth and last qualifier in Norway

Liza Vassilieva has won the fifth heat of Melodi Grand Prix in Norway and therefore is the last qualifier for next week’s grand final. The song ‘I am gay’ will join the other four qualifiers and direct qualified songs next Saturday for the conclusion of MGP 2020.

Just like the prvious four weeks, there were four acts who battled in round-robin style for a spot in the final. In the first round Elin & The Woods defeated Jenny Jenssen for a spot in the super final. After that, Kevin Boine lost his battle against Liza Vassilieva. In the super final Liza Vassilieva grabbed their ticket to the closing show next week.

The final field in Norway for Eurovision 2020

Ten songs consisting of the five semi-final winners alongside with the five pre-qualified songs will compete during the final at the Trondheim Spektrum in Trondheim on the 15th of February 2020. Below you can see the entire final field in Norway:

The ten finalist songs will first be performed once, before the viewers vote. In the first round, the four best songs then go on to the gold final. In the gold final, the four gold finalists are set up in two pairs, where the winners of each pair then meet in a gold duel. In all rounds of voting, the Norwegian viewers choose the winner alone.
