Italy has won the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 in Ahoy, Rotterdam. Rock band Måneskin took victory after a really close contested finale. Switzerland won the jury vote and finished in third place. France finished second.
The level of songs and performances was high in the first Eurovision Song Contest in two years. After last year’s contest was cancelled due to the corona virus measures, many countries wanted to come up with a strong entry. Countries that did not raise the bar, were severely punished. The United Kingdom for example finished in last place with zero points from juries and 0 from televoters as well.
