Germany had its second Eurovision rehearsal today. The visuals on the projection curtain have slightly changed, but the psychedelic part is still there.
Michael Schulte showed his outstanding vocals again during an emotional performance of “You let me walk alone”. The visuals behind him changed slightly: particularly in the last thirty seconds, Germany made the red flickering projections slightly calmer.
However, the allegedly ‘psychedelic’ part, where Michael Schulte spreads his arms and there are black and white stripes projected behind him, is still there. In the video below, Michael explains to ESCDaily the special meaning of these visuals. He also shares a special memory of him and his father.
“We wanted to show that this is not just my story. Many people have an experience similar to what I experienced. That’s why I like the visual: it shows many people who come up behind me.”
